About Us

Route 7 Review is a digital literary arts journal established in 2013 by Utah Tech University. Our mission at Route 7 Review is to be a hub of creativity for the Southwest. We plan on creating this hub by publishing an assortment of work such as poetry, fiction, nonfiction, book reviews, interviews, photography, and art.

Meet Our Staff

Collin Lawe

Review Editor

Collin Lawe is a senior at Utah Tech University with a major in Professional Technical Writing. He has been attending Utah Tech since 2020, and plans to graduate in the spring of 2025.

Robert Logan

Poetry Editor

​

Robert Logan is a senior at Utah Tech University, and is an English Major with a Creative Writing emphasis. He started school in 2021 and plans to graduate in the fall of 2025. 

Tyler Carlin

Fiction Editor

​

Tyler Carlin is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who is known for his love of longer works of fiction. He is a senior at Utah Tech University who is exploring a minor in Creative Writing. He enjoys the art of expression that literature presents to writers and readers alike

Erin Wortham

Visual Arts Editor

Erin Wortham is a junior at Utah Tech University. She is studying creative Writing and Theatre. She will be graduating in the spring of 2026.  

Ellie Evans

Editor-in-Chief and Interview Editor

Ellie Evans is a senior at Utah Tech University. She will be graduating in the spring with a BS in English with a Professional and Technical Writing emphasis, and a minor in Business Management.

Ashley Okelberry

Ashley Okelberry is a junior at Utah Tech University. She is an English major with a Creative Writing emphasis, and a minor in History. She will be graduating from Utah Tech in December of 2025. 

Mykaylla Darrow

Nonfiction Editor

Mykaylla has been reading nonfiction ever since she was in middle school. She has always had an appreciation for people who could write about their lives in such a way that inspires readers. This is why she chose to be an editor for Route 7 Review. Though unpublished, she has written more than a few nonfiction pieces, and many poetry/fiction works throughout her time in college. She is an English major at Utah Tech University. Mykaylla loves reading and writing new things, so she is very excited to work with the editors of R7R.

Jay Lindsay

Fiction Editor

Jay Lindsay is a US army veteran, he holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Geography from California State University-Fullerton, as well as Associate degrees in Geography, Computer Information Systems, and Liberal Arts from Santa Ana College. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in English-Creative Writing and an Editing & Publishing Certificate from Utah Tech University, and has completed a Professional Writing Certificate from the same institution.
