Call for Submissions

 

Route 7 Review is now accepting submissions for our Fall 2019 issue. Route 7 Review is an annually published literary e-journal produced by the student editors and faculty of Dixie State University. We are currently seeking submissions of artwork, audio, fiction, nonfiction, drama, and poetry. This year’s theme is “Going Back to Your Roots” with the sub-themes of cityscape, conservation, and climate change. This is your opportunity to get your work published for free, to bring awareness to the need for conservation, and to share your culture with others.

 

Requirements:

• Fiction & Nonfiction: 2000 words maximum.  Please submit only one fiction and one nonfiction work. Submit as double-spaced .doc or .docx file. Include word count.

• Poetry: Please submit a maximum of 5 poems. Submit as .doc or .docx file. Include word count.

• Art & Photography: 5 pictures/artworks maximum. Submit as a .jpeg or .jpg file.

• Drama: Short scenes or single acts – 1000 words maximum. Submit as double-spaced .doc or .docx file. Include word count.

• Audio Files: 1 minute maximum. Submit as an mp3 file. 

 

Notes:

• Please only submit your artwork and literature through our Submittable portal.

• Please use double space for all literary work.

• We do not accept previously published work.

• We do accept simultaneous submissions. Please notify your section editor immediately if your piece is published elsewhere.

• We will not consider entries if word count is exceeded or word count is not included.

 

Response Time:

Our submission period is from September 12, 2019 to November 20, 2019. Issue 7 will be published in the beginning of December 2019.
