About the Author

Hend Roubaiy is a young writer who expresses her bicultural struggle of belonging to both European and Middle Eastern cultures. She survived the world’s third largest explosion in Lebanon and wishes to speak for those who suffered however simultaneously empowering the beauty of Lebanese culture that is controversial in its misrepresentation. Her writing portrays identity struggles and experiences of finding meaning and belonging when torn between two worlds.
